“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” – Mark 10:14

Jesus values children. At Three Timbers Church, we believe it’s vital to teach children about the love of Jesus Christ. Our Children’s Ministry is designed to do just that.

Our children begin the service with their families for worship through song. Then the children in kindergarten through fifth grade go to their own “Children’s Worship Service” where they worship God through active songs, give in an offering, learn from Bible lessons for kids and enjoy reinforcement activities and fun games to build friendships. Our preschool children go to their own Sunday school class where they learn from the Bible as well as through games and songs that help them understand their Bible lesson. Our nursery is open throughout the service, where even our little ones learn from the Bible and are sung to and prayed for.

We believe in partnering with parents to train children in the way they should go while they are young so that when they are old they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Our goal is to partner with parents by providing a worship service for the children so that our kids know how to apply the Bible lesson that they learned and that church is for them, that God loves them and wants a relationship with them, and that church is super fun!

First Time Friends:

We can’t wait to meet you!

Park in the front or back of the school and come in through the main school door.  Our check-in table is right there!  We have a new check-in system!  Your child will receive a name tag and you will receive a code tag so that only you can pick up your child.  We also have a gift for you at the check-in table.

Next, visit the adult’s table right by the children’s table.  At Three Timbers Church we all wear name tags because we want to know everyone!  Then continue as a family down the hall just a bit, into the gym for our Sunday service.  Don’t worry, you won’t get lost.  The hallway is short and there are signs and friendly people to guide you!

You will want to come a bit early to enjoy snacks and coffee at the back of the gym.

Family is important to us so we begin our service all together at 10:00 a.m. with a few contemporary worship songs.  Then the children are dismissed to their own Children’s Worship Service.  You are welcome to bring your child to class or to invite him/her to follow us.  We have children ready to be your child’s friend, teens ready for fun and adults ready to care for and teach your child.

You will pick up your child from his/her class after the service, around 11:15 a.m.  Our Children’s Director will be happy to answer your questions before you come and while you are with us!  See you soon, friends!

Children’s Mission Statement:

We believe that children are precious to God and that they are a gift from God.

“Behold, children are a gift of the Lord,” Psalm 127:3a NASB.

We believe that children should be taught about God from the Bible beginning at a very early age.

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.  And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up,” Deuteronomy 6:5-7 NASB.

We believe that when the Gospel is taught clearly, that children are able to trust in Jesus Christ as their own personal Lord and Savior and are able to live in relationship with God, growing to know Him more each day.

“But Jesus said, ‘Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these,'” Matthew 19:14 NASB.

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him that a heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depth of the sea,” Matthew 18:6 NASB.

Our desire is to come alongside parents and build into their children and help equip, strengthen and encourage families as they train their children in the way that their children should go.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it,” Proverbs 22:6 NASB.

Knowing that Jesus is the light of the world, we want to be a light in our children’s lives, sharing Jesus and His truth, love, mercy and grace.

“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men,” John 1:4 NASB.

“Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but have the light of life,'” John 8:12 NASB.

May every child know Jesus and choose to live His way!
